Obtaining a Grant

Throughout the year, organizations seek grants, or dollars to fund certain projects.

Eligibility & Guidelines

Requesting organizations must be a non-profit organization designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS. All grant proposals are required to meet guidelines for strategic community focus areas based on alignment with Summa Health System’s mission and its transformational impact within the community.
Grant requests should not exceed $ 5,000. Grants will be reviewed quarterly, with approved funds distributed during the following quarter.

Important Dates

The Community Reinvestment Board reviews grant requests. Submission deadlines occur on a quarterly basis. In 2014, these dates are: January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.

Letters of acceptance or denial will be sent in March, June, September and December.
