Opportunities for support

There are many ways that you can choose to give back to your community. By supporting Summa Health System, your donation touches the lives of the critically ill and injured members of the Akron community who require innovative care and turn to Summa Health System hospitals.

Your annual renewable gift to the Unrestricted Fund helps provide for patient care by supporting current operations. Your donation is used where the need is the greatest. Gifts to the Restricted Fund are typically renewed on an annual basis and support medical education and research by providing operating support for the designated fund.

Tribute gifts are commemorative gifts that are given in honor or memory of someone special. Tribute gifts can be restricted to a specific area, such as Hospice, or if left undesignated, will be applied where the need is greatest.

Your annual gift(s) may qualify you for membership benefits in Summa's Signature Society. To support a specific area for which no fund has been established, call the foundation office at 330-375-3159 to discuss your request.
